The app and your music
Velour reads the current track from the Spotify and Apple Music desktop apps to show artwork, lyrics and album-coloured light. It never uses your microphone and never records your screen. Optional beat sync analyses system playback live on your Mac. That audio analysis is not saved or uploaded. To find artwork and lyrics, Velour sends track or album details to providers including Apple's catalogues, NetEase and LRCLIB.
Questions on this website
If Ask is enabled and you send a question, the question and the product knowledge base are sent to the configured AI provider, Anthropic by default or OpenAI if selected. Please do not include personal or sensitive information. An IP-derived identifier is used for abuse prevention, with an hourly limit. If configured, Upstash stores the rate-limit identifier and counters temporarily, and Cloudflare Turnstile verifies requests. The site does not keep a chat history.
Email and support
When you buy Velour or request your key again, Resend processes your email address, licence key and setup message to deliver the email. Replies go to supportteamvelour@gmail.com. When you request launch news or contact support, our team receives the details you send, including your email. A configured email webhook may process launch subscriptions. If it is not configured, the site opens your email app instead. Contact supportteamvelour@gmail.com to request removal or ask about your data.
Payments and hosting
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach this website. Vercel and other hosting providers may process request logs such as IP address, browser details and request time to deliver and secure the website. No analytics or advertising trackers are included in this project.
